wot r ya likely 2 get if ya get pulled ova 4 a routine check and they check ur emissions and uve got a decat on?

well they will check if the CAT is present and you will get a hefty fine points and even get taken to court for driving without a valid MOT

i was lucky he belived me when i said the engine in my car was pre 92

I have a V5 for my engine saying it was manufactured in 1990 (God, how stupid is that, putting an engine that is nearly 15 years old into a 10 year old car ) Thats no help for you though - you'll get a sore bum bum if they catch you...

My garage told me today that the MOT is taken by the year of the car not the engine, unless its a kit car with the SVA (i think?!) test, in which case it goes by the year of the engine. My other mechanic told me that he'd pass it no probs though :S
