he can sell to whom he pleases, however if there has been a deposit, with WRITTEN receipt its a different matter, tho still too much hassle really

You may want to add that there was an offer, but it was not accepted therefore nothing was legally agreed.
For a contract to be valid there has to be an offer and an acceptance and in this case there wasn't.

Depends who is complaining?
John should have been less cheeky.
Peter should have advertised it higher.
Alan should call John and make a quick 500 english.

It doesn't matter what country your from. Verbal contracts mean nothing, it needs to be written on paper to be binding in any court... We aint selling goats in the desert here

Shouldn't it be mountains for goats and camels for deserts? Or is that why you're selling goats in the desert... because there aren't any!
How much?

Just had a look, my bad.
So if they've got lots of goats already, there wouldn't be much of a market for them
Looks like you'll have to rethink your business plan - may I suggest selling electric heaters in Africa.
"Domestic animals include buffalo, camels, donkeys, sheep, and goats, the last of which are particularly noticeable in the Egyptian countryside."

Have you ever done a law course by any chance to have such a brilliant understanding?
And even disregarding scots law, if it can be proved the conversation took place then its binding, which renders ur comment void and makes u look rather ignorant.

Billy Kennedy had a sheep called Cassie (short for casserole) which still features in the soap today.
