What do you know about the 93-96 Honda Prelude 2.2i VTEC's?
Thinking about buying one (need a new car within the next 2 weeks) and was wondering if you knew any pro's / cons..
I heard there really reliable but parts are really expensive for preludes...
any info would be great
Also ive been looking at the 94+ Toyota Celica GT's & MR2's

I would say out of that selection the MR2, however the celica looks but the Prelude has a really gash dated interior and dash, nice driving position but wasn't to keen on the drive.
MR2 is the best drive (never driven the celica tho) with a very nice driving position and fun RWD, but has to be the rite model as sum are underpowered

Celicas aint that quick are they????
Ya want a Rev3 MR2 Turbo 1994, best handling, engine, brakes, Toyota got the MR2 spot on with the Rev 3 if ya lucky get one with a Rev 5 Spoiler, 240BHp out the rear wheels, but the engines were actually producing close to 270BHP from the factory.
With an exhaust, filter and chip the MR2 turbo can pull 300BHP, i want one

Drew says....
Standard jap
0-60 - 5.4
1/4mile in 13.8
not that quick???
More bhp than a mr2, but heavier car, so slightly slower 0-60
and post was about celica gt's not gt-fours or any turbos

I'm thinking about buying a new car in a few months when my insurance comes up for renewal and i'm very tempted by the 2.2 Vtec Prelude's. Was just looking on Auto Trader a few weeks ago for some inspiration and discovered how cheap you can get them now. Was amazed and then even more amazed when i got an insurance quote for research purposes.
Was reading some reviews about them on Parkers and the only bad comments i read seemed to be about cramped (/non existent) back seats, flakey paint on the spoilers and expensive services from Honda.
Go for a Prelude and then you can tell me what it's like before i dive in and get one.
