My account has a £300 limit per day, and an £800 a my local branch. i have to give them a day notice if i need more than £800, but the main one in the town is as much as i have.
I havent had to give my local branch any notice yet though

there is a limit on how much you can withdraw with your cash card (mines £350 a day), but if you go into the branch you can take out as much as you want.
I took out 4.5k to buy my car and they didn't even ask me for ID or anything, just had to sign for it

Depends if they have enough cash there that day aswell, for £10K i would ring them firstly to enquire if you and them are able!

just remember to take your passport if your going to draw out more than 1000 quid banks HAVE to ask for ID for anything over this amount and if you dont have it then you can only draw the max of 1k
however, i would phone them a few days before hand, so they can get the money ready etc etc

They can ask (but shouldn't). You don't have to tell them.

the banks have systems in place to monitor this type of activity and depending on the amounts they may treat it as suspicious (sp)

they will not ask you, but you don't have to tell them, however they will report internally whereby they will look at your previous bank activity from a fraud perspective and maybe involve the police.
