Sounds like you need a piece of 5-stud flava

if anyone has pressed corsa bearings they will notice it is in 3 parts the hub the bearing and the insert [with the wheel nut holes in it] can you take the part with the wheel nuts and press them to a corsa bearing or to a vectra bearing then fit either to the corsa hub

the splines on the inside of the 5stud hub wont match the splines on your corsa driveshaft.
would be far simpler to have the corsa hubs re-drilled and tapped to 5 x whatever mm pcd.

and the hub is the insert bit as you describe.
what your calling the hub is the hub assembly.
would have to have the hub driven/pressed out of the assembly, then re-drilled, then pressed back in with probably new bearings as the olds would likely get mashed on the way out.

if he's going the cheap route, (hassle as i've found out this week), then i guess cav or cally turbo or v6 hubs could be used to machine down to corsa bearings instead of just gsi/gte ones.
apparently vw vr6 bearings can be used instead which makes life simpler regarding machining.
