hi ive got a problem, ma subs aint thumpin enuff and wen the do it sounds shite, and ma m8 has got the same set up but his sounds crisp!! and he tuned my 1 up like his!! wot culd be the prob?

Uve got ur gains ect setup wrong, the subs are wired incorrectly, or his car is more sound deadened standard resulting in crisper punchier bass.

Well ur sub is bound to be shite if ur using a 2 channel amp to power it anyway.

You should have the amp in bridged mode, whats the model of the amp and the model of the sub?

ur budget renegade amp at 1800 watts might be a source to the problem.
U havnt sed what RMS figures they are either...that would of helped alot more.
Is ur amp set to LPF (Low Pass Filter)?
U myt wanna buy a monoblock to run these subs (well infact u probably will mos def if u want real good sound)
I'm guessin these Subs are around the 350 rms ti 400.
find an amp which will deliver around that inna 2 channel or a 700 watt rms rmono block and wire it in parallel.
But Remember To Watch The Impendance Alterations When Wiring Up Two Subs.

mate i can bet you bottom dollar that you have the + and the - wired wrong, if you put them the right way round on one sub and the other way on the other one it caused an imbalance in the power and they sound worse, pick one sub and swap em over in the terminals on the box.

on my wiring i have 1 with a red line all the way along it and the other has loads of little +'s on it so i dnt no which it culd be!!

glad you got it sorted mate what was the problem in the end?

tbh, richie and ally, saying "leave it mate you dunno what your doing" well its the best thing you could have said bloke asked for help, you gave him abit, but then told him to go f'himself because you couldnt be asked explaining it all you could have just posted him a few links or pointed him to the sticky at the top explaining how to wire subs up in different ways etc etc

oh and when did the bloke say he didnt want help? if he didnt want help, then he wouldnt have posted this thread
