some times when steering to full lock say in a car park and moving slowly the steering will make a funny groan noise. wats is it. do i need power steering fluid or should vaux check it out

I wouldn't bother - if your fluid is topped up and it doesn't do it all the time, then it should be fine.
Mine does it and my dads mundaneo does it too.

ine does it too, im told its cause the rack is worn and the only way to fix it is a new rack...
I had the fluid in mine changed and the pumps been checked and it still does it.

yeh i needed a new rack for my corsa, does the fluid stuff piss out into the footwells. Its probably the rack mate.

yeh i know it is at vaux, if i join the vaux sports car club soon il price up see how much it will cost and what discount i can get , if not may consider selling as ive already spent 300 + quid on it a few weeks after i bought it having to have a new cambelt, its beginning to piss me off goin wrong wiv such a low mileage

i wanted power steering as my last corsa was non power steering and it was hell at times as you could not manouve quickly in car parks

i'd had two pas belts go on me b4 and had had enuff of all the shite that goes with that, plus i was buying an older car

Its not massively expensive, the rack itself isnt too expensive its the fitting that is.
If you can find an independant garage with lower labour charges that know a bit about corsas it shudnt cost too much.
