yesterday i won a fusion headunit on ebay for £150
i was the first and only bidder on this auction, that had no reserve
the guy has emailed me back today saying he wants £225

i have wrote this email back to him but have not yet sent it

n e advice on this situation would b most appriciated

Hi.
I am afraid, that i will not sell the fusion for 150 pound, i only put that amount, for bidding to start, the least i will accept for the unit is 225 pounds. Sorry for any inccinvienience.
Regards
Jayson.

Dear Jayson

I am displeased to have recieved this email
If you wanted to get £225 for your headunit then you should have placed a reserve within the auction
Officially i have won this auction and so therefore have completed what is a legal contract
Failure for either party to then fully complete their side of the contact, payment and delievery wise will then result in them being reported to ebay

I am emailing you now to say that i will be reporting you to ebay
and to say that i have cancelled the paypal transaction.
I no lopnger wish to purchase this headunit as i feel i cannot trust you on delievering the item to me.

Regards
Andrew

Yes, the winning bid is a legally binding affair. If you win then thats it, if he forgot to put a reserve on it is his own fault, he does have a fair time to notice any error and correct it.

I am currectly experiencing a bit of a problem with a delivery, bought an item and paid for it before I went on holiday, came back sat 2 weeks later and it aint been delivered, he says its not his responsibility and that I should chase it through royal mail as its out of his hands. Bit fucked if you ask me, gonna have to find out about responsibility for posatge though. He aint got proof of postage.

I always insist items are sent Recorded - at least there's a receipt of posting and you can moan to Royal Mail if it's undelivered.
I've had no end of problems with the post in Northampton where envelopes arrive opened with the contents missing!
