ok i got a xe corsa i have taken the head off and the cams out but when i put the cams back in the pistons r pushed down how can i stop this hapening and what is the best way to do the timing thanxs

Put cylinder 1 at tdc.
Then put the cams in aligned with the cam pully - rocker cover marks.

cam bearing caps should be tightened in order like head bolts.

dont tighten the cam caps down one at a time do every bolt a bit at a time or you will snap the caps

as for the timing line the bottom pulley with the pin on the block and the cams with the marks on the rocker cover
