I keep getting some one ring me up various times of day hide there number and just hang up. Is there away of finding out who it is? Or getting it stopped.

report it as a nuscence to whoever your network/phone provider is...

they will monitor it & take action

It is my BT land line with caller id on it. They just hang up after about 2 seconds

If its your land line up, ring up Bt/ntl and give them some abuse about it, say they are making you feel paranoid etc etc, and they may do something

With a mobile, they suggest you change your number or ignore it.

Im not bothered just curious i hope they slip up and send there number I think it is sad / funny how some one will stoop so low. Only friends and famliy know my number im Ex directory.

It might be a asain woman from a call centre abroad, Last week she spoke very broken english. I gave here wrong address and bank details because she would not take no for an answer .

when i was younger i used to make up numbers and give them abuse and one day orange called me, i thought it was a prank and when they started giving me the law i soon relised it wasnt and never did it again lol

Half these calls are proberly computers in call centres which ringing up numbers for the call centre staff. If there is no staff available to take the call they just hangup and dial the next number in the list.
