I went through all this just before summer, lost everyone who I worked with. We merged our dept and another dept so cut down on the admin staff.

We also got promised that this wouldn't happen again to us. But we have heard rumours that we are going to merge with another dept again, which means cutting down on more admin staff. At the moment there are 3 full time (one of which covers reception/data input) so reallt 2 full time, 1 part time and 2 mod apps who look after just over 100 staff. You can't cut down anymore, if anything we need extra help.

Id start looking for another job now, fcuk that, i wouldnt want to turn up to work knowing they could be plotting to get rid, especially after what you had before the summer. Tell them to stick their job where teh sun dont shine.

I've got a meeting with the council officers this afternoon, coz they just given me 18k = 6 months worth of funding and I gotta go arse lick them and see if I can manage to persuade them to give me another 6 months next April

I can't work any harder than what I do... but I have got to the point where I think... whats the fucking point.

"promised" , nothing is official unless you got it in writing, signed, dated. You should know this.
