they dont have a cap, so to speak - the terms state that users should keep below the 1gb a day download limit. however, if after monitoring they find you use it too much, then they will send a letter to you....
however, great site is www.cableforum.co.uk lots of useful info for both telewest(BY) and NTL customers, and a number of NTL/telewest techys browse the boards quite abit
btw, they are updating their DNS and transparent proxy servers (new software), which will improve things 10 fold

I'm only 750k, but it's been performing worse than a 56k for a few days, was off all day today, and now it seems to be running fine though
