I have a motorola c650 and am trying to link it up to my computer through the usb port. how do i search to see what usb port is being used because the software cd isnt working?

i dont know if what i have asked is possioble/makes any sense, as i know shite all about computers.

Its a usb cable, but not a proper motorola one. its supposedly the same, off ebay!

I feel i have been had, good job my brothers payapl etc was used saved me a few quid
