Anyone have one?

I been thinking for a little while about one as i just have so much free time.

In the evenings all i do is sit infront of the computer, watch TV or go out with some mates...

Now the winter is coming in, nights are getting shorter i would rather do somthing more constructive with my time... Earning more money!!

I live very well off my main salary of being a sales executive, however extra money will mean i can save more each month + spend a bit on the car

Do any of you have a second job? What do you do?

Im thinkin of just working in a pub or maybe a supermarket a few evenings a week + 1 weekend day??

I used to have one. Id work 9-5 mon-fri doing my accountancy apprenticeship for about £2 p/h, then 16 hrs p/w @ £7 an hour at More Than call centre

I was earning more at my part time call centre than a weeks work at my aprenticeship! that lasted 6 months though - i got too tired and left the call centre!

Peter, when you find somewhere let me know as I want to do exactly what you want to do.

In the winter its wank so might as well work, could see about a bar job during the week at a little quiet pub.

IMHO evenings are meant to chill, theres no point spending you whole life working your arse off unless there is going to be a real good outcome (like people who set up their own businesses, they have to work all hours) But if you have a reasonably paid job anyway i'd just make the most of your free time

Sounds like you arent on sales executive salary mate lol.

I wouldnt bother with a second job myself, you will get worn out very quickly and then run into troubles if you wish to hold down a relationship (and if you are currently in one, you may struggle to keep it going).

May I suggest getting a hobby? Or another one besides cleaning your car?

If you can read and spell properly you can earn about £20 per hour if you become a proof reader... Do a search because there are a few companys that let you do it from home

I work in a call centre during the day and at weekends I do deliveries.
There are advantages and disadvantages to this.

Advantages- I make on average £50 each nite working half 5 to 10
- You get good food free at the end of the nite
- Totally tax free

Disadvantages - Its hard on your car mechanically (wouldnt suit painz his car would get shock horror DURTY!)
- In shit weather u get soaked or cold or whatever.

I have 2 jobs..

Working 35 hours per week (9-5 mon-fri) as a computer engineer.

Working 25 hours per week (hours to suit) as a typist. Working from home as and when i want.

Been doing it for just over 3 months now - got both jobs within the same week. I'm packing 1 job in though very very soon. Totally fed up with it all. Never have time to do anything. I play football 3 evenings per week and Sunday mornings too which doesn't help, but i'd sooner give up 1 or even both jobs before i quit football.

Get taxed approx 25% on my part time job too which really pisses me off.

Yup. I used to be a lazy lay about who did nothing - all day every day. This phase lasted for over 2 years - not once did i ever get bored. Then one day i got bored and got some sort of inspiration from somewhere and decided to get a job. Applied for a couple of jobs - got offered 2 and couldn't pick which one suited better so i accepted both.

I keep getting asked to do more hours for my 2nd job but obviously i can't. It's not that i don't want to, but it's not possible to fit any more in.
