was gonna say this as well, my mate had an old sierra with abs and it failed cause the light never lit up for 3 seconds or something as it was faulty so he wired it to the fuel light which comes on for 3 seconds or something when you turn ignition lights on and it passed

How about put a new sensor on, they don't look especially hard to change.

I'd rather get a problem with something on my brakes fixed than disconnect a bulb for it to pass it's MOT.

True, but I still wouldn't try and bodge something like that.
I'd rather my car fail TBH, so at least I knew that something needed sorting out to make it properly roadworthy.

Yea it does. You'll find out when a child runs out in front of you and you wheels lock up causing you to skid out of control and die. Grrrrrr.....

Seriously, your brakes were designed for ABS, you rarely need it if you drive sensibly, but if a back wheels were to lock up then you can loose control very quickly. Were heading into winter now too so road conditions will be less than ideal.

Just nick one from a scrappy, or get a couple incase you get broken ones

Or about £30-£40 from Vauxhall brand new.
