rite ive just installed MIRC...

connected to the correct server..copied the packet number into the window...
it came up with wat i want to download...but wat do i do now?just a window full of colourfull shite.....

press CTRL+v then enter, it will paste the packet into the entry bar and send it to the XDCC server, then if its availiable you should have a pop up box saying do you want to download this blah blah

whenever i start my home pc up it has a box on the tak bar called MIRC 32. anyone have a clue what it is?

munch, use http://www.ircspy.com , just click on the packet number you want, it should connect to the server automatically.

double click on it, and it should pop up to reveal the chat client itself

someone must have set mIRC to start up automatically when you turn on your PC, and minimize it to the taskbar

aye if u just click the number it automatically copies it, you just paste it once its connected and in the room....

you're doing something wrong mate.

Are you clicking the actual packet number on packetnews.com or the name of the network/bot it's on?

You should be clicking the number, this will open up mirc and you choose "open new connection".

Once its in and the network is up (you'll see a list of people who are currently viewing on the right) then ctrl+v into the dialogue box like Richie says. Hit enter and away you go.

Make sure you set yor DCC options to receive all packs and turn ignore off.

go to tools and then option or settings. Then click the DCC tab. It's all in there and pretty straight forward.

munchie to access everything you need to hold down the ALT key and press FXP within mirc, this will let you access everything.
