My mate's got a Corsa Sport 1.6 S reg, and he's lowered it with Gmax shocks and Springs (Shocks are second hand and springs are new). Its suppose to be 40mm, but its clearly not, it looks more like 80mm, its on the floor . Its the second set of springs he's tried, both claim to be 40mm, and the news ones had it written on them. His alloys are 16" and ET 45 with 195/45 tyres. What the hell is going on? Is he missing a suspension component or something? I mean its stupidly low, undrivable.
Any ideas? Cheers guys

But they aren't... We thought that with the first set, thats why he got some new ones, and they clearly state on them that they are 40mm. And besides its way lower than 60mm, he's debolted his arches, and there s no space between the tyre and the arch, you cant even get a key between it!

Its both front and back, could they be the wrong shocks for his car? He did get them off ebay.

The springs decide the right height, not the shocks.
The might say 40mm on, but if they're a Nova fitment then they'll lower a Corsa more.
I'd check they're fitted OK as well.

Looks like they might have sent him GSi springs, surely that wont make much of a difference? They stll claim to be -40mm. He has a sport not a gsi, i didnt think the Gsi was any different....

GSI was 15ishmm lower than other corsas, so 40mm springs for a GSI will lower a normal corsa 55mm, i had 60mm G-max springs on my GSI and that dropped about 70mm looked sweet
