anyone modded there PS2 so it will play back up copy's of "your" orininal games.

i've just orderd a chip and its costing £22.50 including 1-3day delivary from america.

17wires to solder inside my ps2 but will be worth it, just wonderd if any of you guys or gals have done it, and how hard did you find it??

ive heard that they are a twat to solder in, really tiny wires to go onto really tiny soldering points

they are a right bitch to solder in,
i did my mates one for a few pints! he got the better deal.

if u are not good with the soldering iron i'dget it done from a shop.

you have little margin for error when chippin the ps2.

what chip are u getting?

wouldnt bother to chip the ps2, yea ive heard their a bastard to solder and ive heard most chipped ps2's pack up within a year of chipping it. They not the most realiable thing with out even chipping them!

Best thing to chip is with out doubt the xbox, they are quite easy to chip and will never pack up.

i got 1 had it for bout a yr now and got alot of games
i got mine fitted 4 me too many wires and its easy to fuck up

Unless you have a soldering bit like a pin and very steady hands you've got no chance. I tried the messiah and it was very hard to do. Had to get a pro in the end.

lol the soldering and steady hand might be a problem, its orderd now anyway lol.

i'll not solder them i'll put them in place then stick insulation tape over them

well i care if it packs up.

and if it did i'd just buy a new laser for a few quid, or if its more serious, but a new mainbored for it, which is $49 which is abot 25quid. lol
