Wanna try to make a decision on what im gonna do with my engine
Valver is pretty much out the window now as insurance just aint happening
So its either keep the 1.4 and tune it abit or get a 1.6 and do similar to that!
i would like the 1.6 as got that extra bit of power to start with but i dont drive the car alot and dont drive fast really so dont know if the extra petrol(i know not much) and extra tax and insurance!
Im swaying towards keeping mine and getting a inlet manifold and exhaust manifold and new exhaust and maybe filter then a chip!
Is this a good set up? Will it be worth it or do i need other things to go with etc
Cheers peeps

2k + tb's
jr's engine was roughly 135 bhp i beleive and was plenty fast enough,
get his head cams etc and then buy a mantzel and either unichip or omex management!
You could get upto 2ltr power for not huge cash!

If I was you I would chuck a 1.6 16v in there and not bother changing log book or telling insurance, unless they actually strip the block down there not going to know its a 1.6 and seeing as you have a 1.4 16v the engines look identical.
DO IT

As if in the unlikely event of a accident the insurers are going to be looking for a engine stamp.

Just sand it off, make it dirty and no one will know any difference.
Do it
