my mate has a 1.4 16v SRi and he is experiencing problems, I think its an air or petrol problem from the sounds :- it wont pull basically, its all boggy, and when u try depressin the accelerator it struggles to rise and pops occasionally, it goes up the rev range a lil but is so boggy and sluggish its not liking it- dont think its plugs or leads, even tho my novice brain remembers me nova days and always thinks plugs n leads all the time lol

check the fuel line, had simular problem in my nova, and one fuel line had been replaced, but was only a few cms too short, and so kinked.
or replace the air flow meter.

change fuel filter but if its popping it says its getting too much fuel change plugs and leads

sounds like a miss fire try changing plugs or leads or take it 2 a garage
