I am after a de cat for my 2.0l do I need one to fit the manifold of the 2.0l or the exhaust of the gsi I am not exactly sure where the decat would come from is it straight from the manifold I was lookign at a website last night the gsi one was 50 something but the calibra one was £100 odd what do I need >? thanks a lot Paul...

it all depens on how they did ur exhaust system. u will probably be best going poweflow

all it looks like is the 421 manifold straight into the cat mate hang on right I have a 2.0l so in effect do I even need the cat on for the mot ?

Depends on the age of the engine. I cant remember exact year you had to have cats from but 93 rings a bell, I'm sure someone will correct.
I have no cat on mine and its passed 2 MOT's now.
As for decat is it possible you may have already decatted? Depending on your original engine the cat could've been at the end of the manifold, thats where mine was.

Cats stil on it mate how do they work out when the engine is from I think mine is an l reg c 20 xe or earlier

basically if the engine is a C20XE it needs a cat, only the 20XE didn't need one

i had a custom pipe made to join the 2l manifold to the corsa system.
powerflow did it. cut the flanges off of the cat and welded them to the ends of a staright pipe
edit to say that cost me £80

I had somethign done to mine by powerflow but it was nowhere near that I might just leave it but I do want it doing seems a lot of money if it has to be changed every year
