for a little bit more you can trade in your old engine at vaux & get a brand new one anyways...

A vauxall recondiditoned one
aka rebuilt. If it doesn't need new pistons and its just rings, hone and shells, and you put it back together yourself can be in the £300 area.

nothings wrong with, its been fully serviced all through its life but jus getting closer and closer to the 100k mile mark and worried about wen i comes to selling that no one will want it cost of the milege.

No such thing as a J reg, but if there were then 100k isn't all that high.
Spending £500 + on an engine rebuild wont add £500 to the resale value.
Its a waste of cash if its running fine.

I would only re-build the engine if your gonna tune it, this way you know what your dealing with and you got a strong reliable engine thats not gonna start blowing gaskets and wearing out due to extra power, as long as it aint smoking drinking oil or ought leave it as is

I'd personally say that if the speial of the car rebuild eign enormally makes the car in my mind worth less, odd, but that's how I see things.
