rite ive tried all combinations on me decks and i still get a lower volume through channel 2 and 3...only by a bit like.but when i record a mix....like my new mix....it sounds fucked from track 2, 4, 6 (tracks used on channel 2)
its really old and blue and its numark...reckon i get another 1 or wat?
also wats the best way to set up a mixer?
i put all my gains, bass, treble and medium on full hahahha
im sort of new to all this so please let me know! oh im using cd decks as well (numark CDN-88)

sounds like your mixer is broke!! Its hard to set a mixer up correctly, best bet is to have every thing "flat", in the middle, and add a little bit where needed. You definately dont want them all maxed out

gain shouldn't be used to get extra volume.. leave it at zero, also bass,trebble,mid should also be left in the middle (or zero as it is on my mixer)
i only used the gain when one of my vinyls seemed quiter than another

may be a cross fader problem tho, if its that old, but then it would probably leak

gonna get a stanton 1 i think...lending a gemini mixer of me mate tonite...
also at the bak of me decks it says digital output SPDIF
i know that i need a cable or suttin for this work as ive read the manual...any info on this?better sound quality or suttin?

stantion mixers are bloody good lad
but yea, make sure everything is zero'd and make sure none of the tracks go into the red, as this causes distortion (its analog so you have abit of leyway to it unlike digital distortion).
as for the digital output on your cd decks, unless you have a digital mixer then you cant really make use of it during mixing, but its useful if you want to copy stuff from decks to your pc or you play directly through a digital amp etc

btw, thats a Stanton SK-2 optical scratch mixer. was top bollocks, till one night i was doing a party, got a bit into it, and snapped the volume faders off
