A blind Romanian car thief has been caught after he crashed the car he stole into a tree and was rendered unconscious.
Alin Popescu's decision to steal in the first place came after friends mocked his disability and claimed he was useless. He set out to steal a car to prove them wrong, and claims that he only crashed because he "was not sure of the way home".
Using a screwdriver, he managed to break into the car and start it, and drove around half a mile on a busy road before crashing into a tree, according to local newspaper National.
