Yep, just been down to it. Tis only a few miles from me.

Couldnt get anywhere near it, the A4 is closed from Theale towards Newbury. The crash is about 2 miles further up the road. Trucks towing floodlights etc were heading down the A4 whilst i was there as well as about 30 ambulances parked up in the ind est down the road, they were going down in groups of 4 with police Escort.
I went up on the hill a mile or so away and all i could see was what seemed a pile of metal, couldnt really make out the train except the front of it.

Fast bit of track, trains usually doing top whack along there.

Funny that the documentray was on the telly the other day about the safety of the UKs train lines.
It will all get covered up though and things wont change

What makes this worse is the fact that I go over that rail crossing to go to the breakers yard in Padworth so I've used it a fair few times recently.

If I had lived at my old house still I would have been able to see the crash site out of my bedroom window

maybe hes watched too many movies and thought that the train would hit his car blowing his car up and carry on its merry way without being damaged. well this happens a lot in movies anyway.
