weather to get a saxo vtr or get something with a similar insurance group (group 7). got insured on a nova 1.4 for 1800 quid so its high for me cos of all me convuctions etc. so saxo seems like a safe option. i got bout 8 grand but want something new/newish! but obviously insurance is the main thing here! cheers any suggestions?

have you searched properly for insurance because 1400 for a shitty nova sucks ass. if you have points and convictions for somthing to do with driving and being 19 your not going to get cheap insurance. I suggest you get somthign like a 1.2 punto 60s or a micra 1.0L

yeah suppos eya right mate the guy on phone (insurance company) said it should go down 30% so i'm lookin for something little nippy but ive had a 1.2/1.3/1.4 i just get bored, money aint that much of an issue cant spend 1800 quid on insurance again tho but like i said a saxo seems like a quick enought car in comparison to its insurance group. 90bhp i know is fuck all but hey its better thatn what i got at the mo! a bag of shite escort 1800 diesel with a fucked gearbox!

for 8k you can get the mk2 VTR with 98bhp.
Why not look at an MR2 or something like that?
CRX Del Sol VTEC? 1.6 160bgp!

quick silver isnt 95bhp. its only a 1.4 so it will be 75. engines are 1.1 60bhp, 1.4 75bhp 1.6 8v 90 and 98bhp and also 105 is the rallye mk2 and 1.6 16v 120bhp with a few saxos touching 130 while they were changing the cat.
