Mate of mine has been fleeced of the best part of £2,500
Didnt know anything til we were in Tesco the other day when they rejected his card, checked at cashpoint and he was £1000 overdrawn, and he had £1500 in his account last time he checked.
Someone has been making £500 withdrawals in a post office in middle of nowhere, bank say until the person is caught he is liable for the money as its a debit card
so somehow he has had his card cloned

will have been done with a "loop" when he's used his card at an ATM... loop reads the magnetic cstrip, camera catches pin number goin in, and a clone can be made and used afterwards

Yeah banking law is a bit sh*t like that...he isnt covered to recover the lost money if his bank was in credit...however if they had stole £1500 from his overdraft he would be covered under the Consumer Credit Act s83(1) (off the top of my head)
