they are going to be out of stock til january apparently, Sony cant keep up with the demand. There are some for sale, people who bought them are cashing in on the demand by selling them for 250 quid + to people desperate for them for christmas.

Apparenlty it's a problem with Sony distributing them, we've been telling people a couple of weeks. But i doubt we'll get them in then either. Pain in the arse

sony spokesman rang the shop yesterday (saturday) explaining that we are to tell customers that there will be 2.5 million for sale in the UK over the christmas period, they will all reach these shores on the last week in november or the first week in december

the ship transporting them from the far east, has been stopped/broke down in the centre of the china sea, thus all uk orders are delayed until the middle of december

 sony do this EVERY year, at all the random sories, no sony have a warehouse full of them, there just increasing retailer panick.
they dont come in a boat anyway, they are flown in, and they are made in germany ect aswell anyway

I work for gamestation, and we've been told there is a nationwide shortage. So if you find them anywhere you're doing pretty good for yourself ... ebay are selling them for about 140, just the console and the controller. Id just wait til the end of December and try and get 1 then when they "might" be plentyfull  But guessing alot of ppl will be buying them for xmas pressies. Could be a while til they are back in the normal flow

The DMS4 Pro doesnt kill them. Its cheap botch chips that are circulating at the moment causing issues with them. Not very difficult to chip either.
Whats the point in the hard drive, the PS2 hasnt really made use of that technology apart from loading games quicker.
