what suspension would i need?? (would a normal set of corsa b coilovers fit)

v6 brakes i think???????

what brake can i get out of one of these engines

OR
WOUULD I BE BETTER GETTIN A CALIBRA TURBO ENGINE IN THERE AND TUNING THAT????

WHAT BHP AM I GOING TO GET FROM EACH ONCE IVE DONE THE ENGINE UP TO THE MAXIMIM I CAN????

Coilovers would be a good choice. A better choice would be some Koni adjustables and firm springs suited to the engine. This will save you some cash so you can get a roll cage welded in, some bucket seats and some 4 point harnesses.

FOr a track car you really want an LSD and a high performance clutch, though the LSD can wait until you get used to track driving and want to push the car further.

Your beter of first spending money on replacing the bodywork with GRP pannels - things like wings, bonnet, tailgate and doors can all be replaced - bunt only after you get a full roll cage welded in.

When you get round to tuning you can get a decent 200bhp+ out of the XE for about £2.5k and the LET could see you about 500bhp+ if you have a spare £15k lying about

You could use V6 brakes, but I'd say you should aim to get some 4 pots with large disks so you can disperse heat more efficiently, they are also lighter....

the 'new' head is built up, the gearbox is built..... its just been set back due to the bottom end

The original 2.1 block was found to be a bit worn (pistons rocking in the bores) and has a score on cly1. The block could have been used.... but would have passed oil and would have not lasted very long at 8500+

So i have used my old spare bottom end and sent that to be bored to 88m, then transfer all the gubbins from the 1st block across

A few weeks, but no rush at this time of the year, r'ber it has no heating

8.5k

So you can get a fair bit of rev out of the 2.1 bottom end then... I was under the impression that they didn't like revving, even with a steel bottom end... Whats the estimated BHP gonna be?
