Is there a difference between the one in a Corsa and one in a mk3 Astra?
I noticed the spark plug cover or whatever you call it is different, anything else different about it?

Well no it's the same output, 90bhp...
Also, I haven't had a chance to look yet, but do these engines use normal leads or do they have a long spark plug 'block' like on the X12XE engines?

Sam, will be normal leads for 14XE. Also, i am almost certain the engines are the same. Not sure about gearbox though for astra. Might well have an F13 like the corsa too, but probably more likely to be a WR version.

XEL range normally has less BHP but more torque to keep the heavier Astra moving.

My mate bought a replacment X14XE for his blown up one, when it came it was a X14XEL, the inlet was all different the throttle body was on the top of the inlet, we had to swap all the inlet manifolds, fuel rails, throttle body etc over to this engine from his old one
