Nah its not based on anything its a complete chasis with a ford v8 from the US or you can have most ford engines but i want the V8 power.
The interior is an exact replic as well

Got the spec with a ford 302 V8 engine pricing up the blocks as i am not sure weather the rover would be better

0 - 60 mph 5 Seconds (Ford 302)
Top Speed 165 mph (Standard Ford 302 & 5 speed gearbox)

if its a rover lump it would either be a 3.5 or a 3.9, it much better to go for the late version with the efi injection becasue it has the ywin plenuim design (gonna be better for what you want, as it sukcs in twice as much air)

the 3.5 with a cam and a few head mods get around 200bhp

with a pair of su you can get 220bhp

with the 3.9 and the 4.0 litre there stonger blocks and they have better ports and an uprated fuel pump from memory

btw if your wanting to go over 260bhp its better to look at the small block chevy and ford engines, but parts may be a pronblem in this country
