8v sri cant undo the crankshaft pulley bolt its tight as fuck.
whats the best way to get this undone. big breaker bar?

you locked the bottom end by putting the engine into 5th gear??
its a reverse thread, so your probably tightening it up more
but ye a breaker bar will do the trick

put the car in 5th gear get someone to stand on the break then get you socket and racket with big bar on it and it will open...

if that fails, stick a bar on it and crank the engine on the starter, DONT do it if cam belt is off though, and watch out for the bar flying off hurting some on or ya car

my old 8v was a reverse thread, did that about a dozen times!

i put a tool through the holes in the pulley on to the torx screw located behind the pulley, and simply used that to stop it from turning,
dont think mine was a reverse thread though cud be wrong

on the 1.48v its just the crank bolt which is securing the pulley - no other bolts around the edge of it

yep just the one bolt on the pulley, take that out whip the pulley off and you can get the head off (well disconnect a few other things...)
