i have a heat gun which i plan on using to take off the side strips and it has 2 heat settings,300 and 500 degrees.
when taking off the strips might the heat take of some of the paint 2?

what colour is ure car, if its red or silver, id recommend not doing it 
had 2 respray sides of my silver car!!
