are the 1.6 sport engines the same as a gsi engine

ie
are the plug connections the same etc all the cables the same or do i have change all that??

the later gsi's yeah as in x16xe, the early gsis had c16xe

c16xe probably then.
should have it stamped on the engine block where the gear box meets the side of it
