BT has released a statement concerning possible causes for loss of DSL sync.
"It has come to BT's attention that an extremely small percentage of seasonal lighting, which can be used both internally and externally may cause interference with the broadband service. When the lighting control unit is set to any mode other than a steady state it may generate high levels of radio frequency noise and may cause the broadband service to lose synchronisation. Investigations have revealed that the broadband service may be impacted where the lights do not meet the standards necessary for customer equipment marking."
Apparently they are serious !
I personally and the company i work for cannot even begin to belive this

thats utter bullshit i lose sync all the time, no noise on the line, all interference making equipment removed, yet they still cant find any problems

Its not bullshit. Garden lights and similar that come on every nite at the same time can cut off adsl. Especially when you over the boundarys. I'm outside the original boundary but mine is fine. Pal round the corner is over it aswell and it seems to cut off when his dad parks in the driveway every nite. Lots of things can affect it.

There's a bloke in liverpool who does all his house up including all the inside in xmas stuff. Starts in June apprantley and charges people to go in and gives money to alder hey hospital
