how do i make it lounder

have it set on full, with speakers turned up

is it down to sound card or down to speakers?

could be down to both...

best way to get a load set up on your pc is:

hook it up to your hi fi (so long as your hi fi has a auxilary function)

only thing with that is, u have to have hifi on all the time to hear pc sound dont ya?

Im sure ive seen a proper speaker and sub set for PC's for sale somewhere. Much better sound quality and more settings. Standard speakers generally are not very good which is why i have always upgraded them when buying computers.

I've got a CREATIVE 5.1 speaker set running off an onboard sound chip. Sounds really good -- better than my stereos to be honest.
