Rite first of all...its a 1.0 corsa C on a 51 reg (2001)
Lowered 40mm on apex springs all round
Has 17" Fox alloys ET35 with 215/45/R17 tyres

When im driving it on the motorway etc, the car seems to feel as though i keep driving past large trucks (as in it keeps on swaying!)
ive just had a buckle took out of 1 of me wheels and its gonna go on the car this week with a new tyre....

what do ya think is up with it!? bearing in mind its only done 20k over nearly 4 years!

Did you have all the tracking / camber checked once the car was lowered,

also should of been checked around 1000 miles after it had been lowered also,

When the buckle was removed fromt he alloy did they re balance the wheel?

Springs tend to be quite bouncy, could upgrade to some shocks also...

Also the offsets not overly good, but i dont think this would be the issue,

Also just make sure all the nuts on your alloys are tight,

the wheel needs a new tyre neway (it isnt on the car) so will balance it when i get a new tyre
as for tracking/camber....NO! lol how much willl that cost to get checked? and do i only need it on the front then yes? cos on the back rite now i have a 14" steelie haha (this is not causing it to sway)

Well theres your problem,

if you got alloys on front and rear steelies, that wont be doing you any favors,

As for the tracking . camber,

Its a must, I havent had mine done if im honest with you since i put my coilovers on the SRi, however i cant wait til its done as im getting no traction what so ever,

Looking @ around £20 for laser tracking,

Go along to somone like ATS or somthing,

So many people just lower their car without checking tracking / camber - its madness,

You will be loosing traction, eating tyres and your handerling wont be as good as it could be....

Go get it done asap!

And you need to get it all tracked,

Front and rear,

You will need to have all 4 alloys on mind before you get it tracked,

The steelies will be different to the alloys,

Also do you know what tyre pressure your currently running? Thats could also be a problem.. This can also alter the tracking...

pressure is 40 altho it says i shuld run 44...

not really a big issue that tho, i got it checked from a specialist and the 2 front wheels where traveling outwards and the rear wheels were travelling in wards

wanted £100 to fix it tho lol..

What is "it"? Vauxhall recomend about 30-32 psi in the tyres, so having them at 40 isnt helping at all.

nah far too much, there not like a set of tits munch (firm and hard the better) they need to be at a balanced equilibrium of pressure to get traction, road holding etc
