Just saves me going to the bank and getting the full amount out and then paying this 3k (scottish money) into it

Unless they would do a straight 3k swap scottish for english there and then ? then i get the rest out ?

I have been to some places in England where they said they don't except Scottish currency..

I said FUCK U it's all legal currency...they have to except it.

think wqe should stop accepting english currency up here

just take it to the bank, they will swap it there and then for no extra cost.

Officially it's legal tender, personally i wouldn't accept large amounts of it though.

Although if someone came into Dixons with 3k to spend i'd take it without thinking, nothing to do with me what happens after that

Royal Bank of Scotland, Clydesdale Bank etc. notes are legal tender and are accepted in England, as they are POUND STERLING - same as Bank of England notes (obviously).

If you wouldn't accept Scottish notes just on the basis that they are not issued by the Bank of England, then you are ignorant.

Yes, I always accept Scottish and Irish notes at work. Took me a while to convince the boss that they were the same as English notes though.
