bascially i been waitin nearly a month for this guy to send my paperwork to DVLA & to have the paperwork back ,he says hes sent off all the paperwork & DVLA have turned round n said they wanna see his car ,he sounds all genuine etc etc but just can't c y they'd wana see his car ,i don't know much bout how it all works so maybe its a normal thing 4 em to wanna do but 
anyone ave any ideas

No it doesn't.
They can, and do ask to see the car.

Yup - I've never been asked for it myself but a friend was told which day to bring the car to a VRO to be inspected. They just checked the VIN plates and ticked a few boxes on a clipboard.

They do random check's to make sure the car is genuin and not a ringer or anything

To make sure the car is the car it's supposed to be.
And to make sure the car is still roadworthy, as there's all sorts of problems people have removing plates when it's not (after breaking the car, or having an accident etc)

i had this when i got my uno turbo
reason i had it done as they said 2 people had the the car
ie on there computers
i said i had the car....
Old owner hasent told them its gone so they think hes still got it.....
they can not have 2 cars with same reg/VIN etc
