It's quite obviouse you are running it through a low speed hub/swtch or a router.

No each point has a 10mb uplink connection to a switch... that is not to the ineternet and simply means you can communicate with other PC's in the same building at 10Mbps.
Your net speed at max will be 800k... run a speed check on it.
