I bought this nova back in September for the g/f as a run around as she changed job and the company car went with it. So i got this Nova for £300 with 7 months MOT and a few months tax plus the number plate
Now the number plate reads A11 NVA (All Nova) and i thought well that might be worth some so i'll find out sometime. Anyways not long ago the g/f emails a few number plate companies and asks for a quote and it came back with a valuation of £600
So i'm thinking if i put this on novaload and migweb maybe someone who has a show standard nova might pay that bit more for it to finish the car off. The way i see it is if i do put it on Novaload etc and i dont get any interest or offers over £600 then as a last resort can sell it to the number plate company - and then sell the car and more than doubled my money back what i paid for it

I just had to check the email to make sure, what Kolin said is true, thats what make me feel it may be worth more if they would pay £600 to us for it, then obviously they want to make their bit of it too so i'm hoping i will get a bit mroe selling it privately

i.e. Im sure that means they advertise your plate on there site for £800/£1000/whatever, someone sees it buys it and they then sell it on your behalf.......but its your plate until someone contacts them wanting to buy it and give you £600.
Still done alright out of it tho

£600 net means you'll pay all relevant fees and get what's left, doesn't it?

Gross = before tax/NI and any deductions
Net = after any of the above have been taken

It's a J reg 5 door 1.2 luxe originally, but the lad that had it put a nova gte engine in it, uprated the brakes to 2L astra gte ones, also there are chequer plate foot wells and also chequer plate behind front seats. When it's time to sell the car without the plate and a fresh 12 months MOT on it i reckon £200-£300 would be fair.
