I have a courtesy car from Vaux for a week and its a bloddy diesel

Seems to handle ok and has one hell of a kick for a corsa when in 3rd but apart from that i hate it sounds like a tank and the slightly new shape etc and alloys are gash

So need to get my exclusiv fixed, no heated sports seats, no leather, no climate control and no silence in the car when u drive and i so miss my quick shift sports gearbox

Good points is its a 54 plate, has 900 miles on and i shall not be treating it kindly (cos vaux are a bunch of cowboys)

i thought they were giving me a 1.7 cdti at first but they had their records wrong matched to the number plate DAMN!

My old man has that corsa 1.3 cdti, i think its actually nice, you can feel the turbo pull as soon as it reaches 2000rpm, push its 70bhp as standard just count your lucky stars they didnt give you a matiz

to be fair the 1.3 cdti is a great motor. immense mpg, and would give a 1.2 a run i think.

ive got a 1.7 cdti sri and that would rape a 1.4 16v corsa ALL day long

I take it back the handlings shocking, my wider profile tyres and sri suspension holds to the road fine at speed.. this diesel couldnt stick a corner at 30mph

i do like the extra pull at 2000rpm though

mpg is ace last dash on the petrol gauge and 70 miles half to go

also does 80mph at only 3000rpm
