has a modified car ever been put through safety tests?

just thinking......

Some kits require removal of crash bar
Subs coming loose on impact
Incorrectly fitted harnesses

would be interesting to see the outcome of a typical kitted up (bodykit/ICE etc) small hatch with a wall?

Has anyone been involved in a large highspeed incident with a car that fits the bill?

Did things come loose inside? Did you buckets come loose? Did the kit/bonnet act in a dangerous way?

Its a wonder the gov. havent clamped down on this type of shit yet.... stricter MOT's etc....

bit hard to test AK as all cars are different.

its not law to have an airbag so why should it be bad to remove it if the owner chooses too? I kept mine as i think its a fab idea but i think its up to the driver personally as its his head and his life

Kinda leads onto like what happened to the owner of scrivs old car, when the wheels were simple too big for the car, and the suspension werent upto the job, hence the accident.

Personall ithink the most stupid thing that people do is hacking out the rear spare wheel well, especially considering thats whats strengtheing the rear of the car to stop any impact reaching the fuel tank .
