how does the speedo cable come of the back of the speedo???
ive never tried taking it of before as i as i cant see anything because theirs not much room and its tight!
any ideas/help??

unscrew it from the gear box end, its easier.

chop off a few fingers then reach around the back, above the cable is a clip thing, push/pull this toward the speedo itself and remove the cable

oh i see so its just a simple clip i pull towards the speedo and thats it!
were abouts on the gearbox is the speedo cable???? i think i may need to take it of anyway as theirs a constant clicking from speedo when driving so may need to loosen the cable

even tho my old corsa is gone, its still valuable 
ok cable comes out of bulkhead here (the top cable)

and is attached to the gearbox by this plug

just turn it anti-clockwise to loosen/remove from the 'box

were abouts on the gearbox does the cable connect into?
is it visable from engine bay? or will i have to jack car up and look at from underneath?

visible from engine bay = yes
get to it from the top, you will see it sticking out - ya cant miss it!

i magaged to get it of from behind the speedo 
but cudnt find it on gearbox...was getting dark!.... but i think i fixed the clicking sound from speedo while driving now, i just pulled it out a little from behind the speedo so it was loose and it SEEMS ok now, need to take for long drive and test

Yeah i had the same prob after i'd taken out my set of clocks, the cable was jus kinked up behind the dash. Yoinked it gently from the engine side and a lot of excess came out! All fine now
