It would have to be a cellulose paint (if that's the flexible stuff).

hoses that aint to flexible yeah, done mine some are fine others just flaked straight off

well i wouldnt bother as rubber isnt something paint keys to very well. Also as hoses get hot hence expand and contract it'll crack the paint in no time.

would look pretty cheap too IMO just get somesilicone hoses
