I've just driven to uni and bloody gritters on the motorway have turned my car into an absolute mess. I want to wash all the salt and grit off, but I'm at uni, I'm on the 3rd floor and my car is about 50-100meters away parked on a road.

I've got no way of washing it... Getting water too and from my car would be major effort.

I'm considering going to a BP garage or something (if they're still open) and washing it on the forecourt - i.e. putting water in a bucket and using a sponge to wash it

Will I look weird? or normal? or what? ... Will the people in BP care

aaaah! no, go for it. im sure theyll have seen worse. afterwards ask for a copy of the cctv, then show it to the grandkids one day.

lmao do it mate - wud be so funny!!!!! failing that just blag a token for the washer from the bloke inside, they often like a chat about this time and reward ure company with a car token! jus mention how ure a poor student and u need ure car washed lightly lol...

First problem is sneaking past everyone in my Accomidation - they'll go 'where are you going?' lol... Will look very sad saying 'washing my car' lol ... as most of them don't even have cars / like cars...
