ok, still trying to find my rear speaker wires.
the headunit is the original one for just the two front speakers i had the glove box out to get better access.
Anyway these are the colours of the original wires

now only the front speakers are in the car and the balance works between the two, yet both sides the speaker colours are blue and blue/brown
this has confused me, but logically in my hunt for the rear speakers wires which i know are in now as all the wires go off into the loom out of the headunit. Would i be right in thinking white and yellow with matching brown stripe?

Left front speaker wires: Blue - Blue/Brown
Right front speaker wires:Yellow - Yellow/Brown
Left rear speaker wires: Green - Green/Brown
Right reat speaker wires: White - White/Brown
The front speaker wires both change to blue- blue/brown on both sides as they go through the doors. Its in the haynes manual.
The rear speaker wire colours stay the same.
