Through the post, 48 in a 40. Bit gutted, as I know my insurance will go up so the 2l on the back burner now! Been caught fair and square though, so cant complain. My question is, generally speaking, or by experience, how much do insurance companies put premiums up by?
Cheers,
Anton

not much if anything for 3 points. Give em a ring. (Also, read the smallprint, some dont ask to be notified until next renewal)

I've have thought 48 in a 40 would be given a less severe penalty than running a red light.

iv got 3 points on mine and my ins went down wen i came to renew!!!!. It shouldnt effect your premium, but all depends on who u r with m8.
48 in a 40 is a bummer but like u said got u fair n square, mine was 71 in a 40, i was lucky to have only 3 points and a £60 fine and not a ban!!!!!
