Went away friday and used the other car to go to bournemouth, got into the corsa today, fired up straight away, left it to warm up for a while, came back outside exhaust had some white smoke comin out of it, i didnt think much of it, just thought it was cold.

Left her to warm up some more, got in drove off, car seems fine but lots of smoke every now and again coming from the zorst? Not all the time tho

Please tell me this is just cos it stood for a few days and i dont need a new turbo or something

proper pissed off and im scared to drive it now

take it for a long drive......

is it smoking on the over run? when you boot it? at idle? or just all the time?

what does the smoke smell like?

You would get white/grey smoke if your turbo seals were gone.... normally seen on the over run

Over run?

Its not when i boot it, no smoke at all. Just seems to be when im slowing down for traffic lights etc. But then it stops when im idling at a standstill.

IIRC Turbo seals means £££££££££££££

Overrun = turbo seals.

Not cost a lot to get your turbo re-conned. Whip it off yourself and send it away! Reckon about £150?

Have you noticed if it can hold boost like before?

i have no boost guage

It seems to be fine, but im not sure!
Im going to go for a little drive now, can i damage it driving it how it is? I would rather just wait and fix it rather than spending the rest of today on the M4 waitin to be picked up

oil seals i thought are when the car is left over night the oil weaps threw the seals into the exhast then on start up the exhaust gets hot then burning the oil mate, after a run is there alot of pressure builing up in the header bottle? temp gauge goin up quicker than norm? do you let the car get warm befor driving and a lower the car to idle for a couple of minutes after driving??

when its cold outside mine chucks out a lot of condensation, but sometimes can look a bit smokey, but ive got a 3" bore all the way through so it builds up. Only start worrying when it does it quite a bit and its very very white, or when you boot it look out the back window and if it puffs smoke out then its prob the seals.
