1977 Ford Capri 3.0 S, running on 4 and a half cylinders (one misses all the time, other is intermittant)

still rocked though, tail out in the snow

well yeah, but i didnt have that option, it was a choice of my car, a citroen berlingo, the capri or a yellow reliant rialto van (a la trotter)

so the capri it was, as i figured it'd be the most fun in the snow round a quiet industrial estate

Enjoy 17 mpg. Also enjoy tail out in snow, wet, mud, dry, pretty much all the time.

yeah, 17mpg if it was running right, a tenner of petrol was used in 3 days of cold starts and short journeys (like a mile a time)

its a piece of shit, but it is still old skool cool

my next door neighbours got a 2.8 turbo technics very nice car and i just love the sound when he leaves it tickin over on his driveway

The one to have is the Tickford Turbo



Sadly VERY rare!

2.8 injection special / brooklands were also good.

2.8 cologne engine was alot better than the 3.0 essex in many respects.

theres a white tickford on my estate i always look at it wonder how much he wud sell it for, i really like capri's for some reason maybe its the essex in me

My Dad has had a few V6 Capri's, were amazing cars but one got nicked and he ended up selling t'other
